Botox & Neuromodulators
Pre & post-treatment essentials
"Start this 5–7 days before your appointment. Studies show zinc helps botulinum toxin work better and last longer — a small habit that makes a real difference."
Shop on Amazon →"My #1 post-Botox essential. Lightweight, non-pore-clogging, and the niacinamide calms any redness beautifully. I wear this every single day without exception."
Shop on Amazon →"Keep it in your freezer. A few gentle passes after Botox reduce swelling fast and feel incredible. Every client I tell about this comes back to thank me."

Minimize bruising, protect your results
"I recommend starting oral arnica 2 days before your filler appointment. It reduces bruising significantly from the inside out — and the difference is visible."
Shop on Amazon →"Apply gently around — never directly over — injection sites. Oral and topical arnica together is the gold standard bruising protocol. I use both every time."
Shop on Amazon →"Ice roller first — right after treatment to calm swelling. Then once fully healed, gua sha supports lymphatic drainage and enhances your results beautifully."

Maintain your results between sessions
"NMN is the most direct NAD+ precursor available. Between IV sessions, this helps maintain the cellular energy and anti-aging benefits you came in for. Consistency is everything."
Shop on Amazon →"IV hydration works best when you stay hydrated between sessions. LMNT has the right sodium-potassium-magnesium ratio with zero sugar or additives. I drink this every single day."
Shop on Amazon →"Between IV vitamin C drips, daily oral supplementation keeps your immune system and collagen production supported. Consistent levels matter far more than one occasional big dose."

Clean, unscented, healing-first only
"Hypochlorous acid is what your own white blood cells produce to fight infection — that's how gentle it is. Nothing safer on open micro-channels. My absolute first-pick post-needling."
Shop on Amazon →"Don't let the name put you off — snail secretion filtrate is scientifically proven to accelerate wound healing. No acids, no fragrance. I've seen it cut redness timelines in half."
Shop on Amazon →"100% mineral — zero chemical UV filters that could irritate healing micro-channels. The light tint gives coverage so you can leave the house same day. Absolute non-negotiable."

What I recommend to every tirzepatide & semaglutide client
"On GLP-1 medication, you eat far less — which means you MUST prioritize protein or you will lose muscle, not fat. This is my recommended daily protein source for every client on tirzepatide or semaglutide."
Shop on Amazon →"Rapid weight loss causes hair thinning. I tell every GLP-1 client before they even start their first dose — get ahead of this with biotin now, not after you notice the shedding."
Shop on Amazon →"Nausea is real on GLP-1, especially during dose increases. These ginger chews are hands-down my most-recommended tool for getting through the first few weeks comfortably."

The questions everyone
is actually googling
NMN (Nicotinamide Mononucleotide) is a direct precursor to NAD+, a coenzyme your body needs for energy production, DNA repair, and cellular function. NAD+ levels naturally decline with age — contributing to fatigue, brain fog, and slower metabolism. By supplementing with NMN, you give your cells the building blocks to restore NAD+ levels and support energy, cognitive clarity, and longevity from the inside out. At AURA we offer NAD+ IV therapy and injections; daily NMN helps maintain those results between sessions.
Research shows zinc plays a direct role in how botulinum toxin is absorbed and activated at the neuromuscular junction. Zinc deficiency has been linked to shorter-lasting, less effective results. Starting Thorne Zinc Picolinate 5–7 days before your appointment primes your body to get more out of your treatment — and may meaningfully extend how long your results last. It's one of the simplest things you can do to protect your investment.
Microneedling creates thousands of tiny channels in the skin — that's exactly how it delivers results. But those same open channels make your skin temporarily more permeable and reactive. Fragrances, essential oils, acids (AHAs, BHAs), retinol, and even vitamin C can penetrate deeper than normal and trigger inflammation, irritation, or chemical burns. For the first 24–72 hours after treatment, everything going on your skin must be completely clean, unscented, and free of actives. Every product in my microneedling section passes that test first.
Arnica montana has well-documented anti-inflammatory properties — it inhibits the mediators that cause bruising and swelling to develop. Taken orally, it works from the inside out to reduce bruising before it even appears. Applied topically as a gel, it accelerates breakdown of blood pooling under the skin. Starting oral arnica 2 days before your filler appointment gives it time to work proactively. Using both oral and topical together is the gold standard protocol, and the combination results speak for themselves.
Hypochlorous acid is a molecule your own immune system produces — your white blood cells make it to destroy pathogens. That's why it's so uniquely gentle. As a spray after microneedling, it cleanses open micro-channels without disrupting your skin barrier, prevents infection, and actively supports healing. Unlike alcohol-based antiseptics or traditional cleansers, it causes zero stinging, stripping, or inflammation. It's genuinely the safest thing you can put on freshly needled skin, and it's the product I recommend first to every single microneedling client.
Chemical sunscreens absorb UV rays and convert them to heat — a chemical reaction that happens on and within the skin. After microneedling, your micro-channels are open and skin is inflamed. Applying chemical UV filters during this window risks irritation, allergic response, and delayed healing. Mineral sunscreens (zinc oxide or titanium dioxide) sit on top of the skin and physically deflect UV rays with no chemical reaction whatsoever. They're the only type safe to apply the same day as treatment — which is exactly why EltaMD UV Physical Tinted is my non-negotiable post-needling pick.
This is called telogen effluvium — hair follicles prematurely enter the resting phase due to rapid caloric restriction, nutritional deficiencies, or physiological stress. On GLP-1 medications, your appetite is significantly suppressed, which means most clients aren't consuming enough protein, biotin, or hair-supporting nutrients. Starting biotin supplementation proactively — before you notice any thinning — is the most effective approach. Once shedding starts, it can take 3–6 months to reverse. I tell every client before their first dose, not after they're already worried.
GLP-1 medications dramatically reduce appetite — but your body doesn't automatically target fat for fuel. Without adequate protein intake (minimum 0.7–1g per pound of goal body weight), the body breaks down muscle tissue for energy instead. This is muscle catabolism: the number on the scale drops, but you're losing the wrong kind of weight. You'll be lighter and weaker, with a slower metabolism. Daily protein supplementation is non-negotiable for anyone on a GLP-1 protocol who wants to lose fat, not muscle.
Electrolytes — primarily sodium, potassium, and magnesium — regulate fluid balance, nerve signaling, and muscle function. When you're dehydrated, exercising, or on a GLP-1 medication (which suppresses thirst alongside appetite), electrolyte levels drop fast. The symptoms: fatigue, headaches, muscle cramps, brain fog, dizziness — things that get blamed on everything else. LMNT delivers a medically sound electrolyte ratio with zero sugar, making it ideal for staying hydrated between IV sessions and for anyone on a GLP-1 protocol.
